    The road climbs to about 2,260 m through the High Atlas, with sweeping views and Berber villages on the slopes.

    Dadès valley and Todra gorge

A typical itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Marrakech → Aït Benhaddou → Dadès valley

    Over the Tizi n’Tichka pass, a stop at Aït Benhaddou and Ouarzazate, and on to the Dadès valley.

  2. Day 2

    Todra gorge → Merzouga

    Morning in the Todra gorge, then on to Merzouga in time for sunset over the dunes.

  3. Day 3

    Merzouga → Marrakech

    Sunrise in the desert, then the long drive back to Marrakech (about 9–10 hours with stops), or add a night on the way.
